SENIOR
PORTRAITS
Before the next chapter begins, it’s time to have some fun & remember this one!
One Milestone Down.
You did it. Whether you’re finishing high school or college, getting here took years of early mornings, late nights, big wins, hard days, great friends, and probably a few classes you’re very happy to never take again. And for the parents who somehow watched all those years go by way too fast, this is a pretty big moment for you too.
Senior portraits are really just a chance to celebrate all of it and remember who you are right now. Of course, we’ll get the classic portraits for the parents, the cap and gown shots, and something awesome for the graduation announcements, but I also want to have some fun and make this about you.
Bring a few outfits you love, your guitar, your skateboard, your car, your basketball, your dog, or whatever else feels like part of your life right now. Maybe there’s a place you’ve spent the last four years that means something to you, or maybe you just want to head somewhere cool and make some great photographs. We’ll figure it out together.
At the end of the day, I want you to walk away with more than a bunch of graduation pictures. I want to create photographs for you that remind you of what it felt like to be you, right here, at the end of one chapter and just before the next one begins.

A QUICK NOTE ABOUT LOCATIONS + PERMITS
I’m always up for finding an awesome location for your senior portraits, whether that’s your school, somewhere around Glendora and the San Gabriel Valley, or a little adventure somewhere else in Southern California.
Some locations require photography permits, reservation fees, admission, or parking. If the location you choose requires any of those, the cost is additional to your session price and will be passed along to you. I’ll help you figure out what’s required ahead of time so there aren’t any surprises on shoot day.
Package pricing includes locations within 20 miles of Glendora, California. If you want to head farther out to the beach, mountains, desert, or somewhere else that feels perfect for your senior photos, travel is available for an additional fee.
HOW TO BOOK
SENIOR PORTRAITS
INQUIRE
Fill out the Photo Inquiry Form and tell me a little about yourself and what you have in mind for your Senior Portraits. I’ll get back to you within 48 hours so we can talk through the details, choose the right session, and start putting together some ideas.
LOCK IN THE DETAILS
This is where we figure out what you want your senior photos to actually look like. Maybe you want to keep it classic with your cap and gown at school. Maybe you want to incorporate a sport, music, your car, a hobby, or somewhere that’s been a big part of the last few years. Or maybe you have absolutely no idea yet. That’s totally fine too.
We’ll talk about locations, outfits, what you’re into, and anything else that can make the session feel like you. And yes, parents are absolutely welcome to be part of the planning!
SHOOT DAY
Show up in your first outfit with your hair and makeup ready to go, and I’ll take it from there. I’ll give you plenty of direction, so you don’t need to know how to pose or what to do in front of a camera.
And if having Mom, Dad, a friend, or someone else there will help you feel more comfortable, bring them! They’re absolutely welcome to hang out with us, hype you up, carry an outfit, make you laugh, or just be there for moral support.
We’ll get the classic senior portraits and cap and gown photos, but we’ll also have some fun, move around, explore the location, change things up, and make some really cool photographs along the way.
DELIVERY
Your finished senior portraits will be delivered in a private online gallery, usually within one week of your session. From there you can download your photographs, share them with friends and family, pick out favorites for graduation announcements, and inevitably give Mom or Dad a new favorite picture of you.
You can also order professional prints and graduation announcements directly from your gallery, making it easy to turn your favorite photos into something you can actually hold, hang, or send to everyone who helped you get here. Everything is printed through White House Custom Colour, one of the country’s leading professional photo labs, and shipped straight to your home.
I personally photograph and edit every session, so if I ever need a little more time because of travel, weddings, vacation, or life with my own family, I’ll let you know ahead of time.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Choose clothing that feels comfortable and reflects your personality. That’s the biggest thing! These photos are a chance to remember yourself at this time in your life so whether you’re finishing up High School or College, BE YOURSELF.
Solid colors and simple patterns photograph best.
Layers are always awesome!
If you are going to be doing multiple outfit changes, just be mindful that there may not always be a bathroom nearby to change.
It is definitely ok to bring options and I can weigh in if you are not sure.
-
Of course! Many parents want to come along (especially for those under 18). If they are there to help you hold your stuff, relax, make you laugh then the more the merrier!
If you want to bring a friend that’s cool too!
-
Yes you can bring props! For High School seniors it is very common to bring that thing that is your thing. It could be a guitar, football, skateboard, DND Figures, you name it! We’ll make sure to incorporate them in some shots and also get some clean standard photos that can be used for announcements or whatever else you need!
-
Absolutely! I know there are tons of online options these days, but if you want to keep it easy, I actually have it built into my Online Gallery that you can buy announcements as well!
-
Absolutely! If you have them by the time we shoot, bring your cap, gown, stole, cords, medals, or anything else that represents your graduation.
We don’t have to make the entire session about graduation, but we’ll definitely get some classic cap and gown photos for you and the family.
-
Anywhere that feels right for you. We can keep things close to home in Glendora or somewhere around the San Gabriel Valley, shoot around your school if photography is permitted, or head somewhere completely different.
If you want mountains, downtown LA, the beach, the desert, or another location somewhere in Southern California, I’m always up for an adventure. Travel fees may apply outside the included area.
-
If our location requires a photography permit, then yes, we’ll need one. Some schools, parks, gardens, beaches, historic properties, and other locations charge permit, reservation, admission, or parking fees.
I’ll help you figure out what’s required when we choose the location. Any permit or location fees are additional to your session price.
-
Earlier than the week before graduation! Haha.
If you want photographs for graduation announcements, yearbooks, invitations, or gifts, give yourself plenty of time before you actually need them.
I can shoot your photos any time during your senior year including in the Fall. Spring dates can also fill up quickly as graduation gets closer.
You can absolutely take senior portraits earlier in your senior year too. There’s no rule saying you need to wait until you have a diploma in your hand.
-
Southern California is usually pretty cooperative, but sometimes it has other plans.
If rain, extreme heat, high winds, wildfire conditions, or something else is going to make the session unsafe or miserable, we’ll figure it out together. We can adjust the time, change locations, or reschedule for another day.
There’s no rescheduling fee when we decide weather or unsafe conditions require us to move the session.
-
Life happens! If you need to move your senior portrait session, give me at least 48 hours notice and we can reschedule at no additional charge.
When I reserve a date and time for you, that spot is yours and I’m no longer able to offer it to another client. Because of that, same day cancellations have a $75 rescheduling fee added when you book your new date. No shows may require a new booking fee.
If there’s a genuine emergency, just talk to me. I’d much rather work something out than make an already stressful situation worse.
