PHOTOGRAPHY
Southern California Wedding and Engagement Photography for those wildly beautiful days you never want to forget.
I See the Future in this Instant.
When I met my wife, I didn’t know she was the one. There was no epic soundtrack scoring our meet cute, and I had no idea who she would eventually become to me. Life had a few adventures planned for us first, and it took finding each other again at the right place and the right time before it finally clicked. Time stopped. Troubles were abandoned. I had found my once in a lifetime kind of person. So I asked her to marry me, and she said yes!
Every couple gets there differently. Maybe you knew right away. Maybe it took a few years. For me, it took seventeen. But eventually you find that person who just feels different. The conversation flows, their presence brings you life. They are your most exciting adventure, your cozy retreat, and your rock. They flip your life on it’s head in the best possible ways and then you know you’ve found your person because
Time stops when dreams come true before you.
And when that happens, it’s worth doing something about it. It’s time for you to get to work and plan a wedding, and that means it’s time for me to join you and photograph your love story. My memories are so precious to me and I want to help you preserve yours.
When planning your wedding, you’ve probably imagined parts of this day a hundred times. Walking down the aisle. Your first kiss. Your first dance. All the things you spent months choosing, tasting, trying on, paying for, changing your mind about, changing it back again, and finding the right photographer to capture it all.
That last part is a pretty big deal. Your photographer will spend most of the wedding day right there with you, sharing some of the most personal and important hours of your life. So besides loving their work, you should probably like having them around.
It’s important to me that the photography never smothers the real focus of the day, which is you marrying your best friend. So that’s the approach I take: I’ll direct when needed, but helping you enjoy your wedding day will always come first. I’m easy to work with, happy to become part of your crew, and I also know when to hang back and let you enjoy your friends, your family, and everything happening around you.
But when things get crazy, I’ll hustle for you. I’ll advocate for the time we need, help keep things moving, wrangle people when necessary, and do everything I can to make sure the photographs you care about don’t get lost because the schedule went sideways.
It Only Takes A Moment
My event planning and production background comes in pretty handy here. I understand timelines, vendors, logistics, stressed out families, and everything happening behind the scenes. I know when the schedule matters and when we can fudge it a little because the light is incredible and we need another five minutes.
And while all of that is happening, I’m still watching for the special extra moments. Your mom smiling at you from across the room while everyone else is getting ready. Your best friend trying not to cry. Your grandparents dancing. That look you give each other when nobody else is paying attention. The things nobody put on the timeline, but somehow become part of what made the day yours.
Because as much as I care about great light and making beautiful photographs, I know something else happens to these images with time. Twenty years from now, you might care less about how cool a photograph looks and a whole lot more about who’s standing in it. About seeing their face, remembering their laugh, and getting to spend a second with everyone exactly as they were on this day.
That’s when your wedding photographs become a way back to these precious moments.
And I want to make sure you have a lot worth going back to.
To Be Loved a Whole Life Long…
How I See Your Wedding
I’m drawn to photographs that feel cinematic, editorial, and beautifully crafted, and light is a huge part of how I get there. With a background in theatrical lighting design, I know how to find great light, shape it, work with what’s already there, or create it myself when the moment calls for something more.
Throughout the wedding day, I’ll step in with art direction when it makes sense, especially during solo and couple’s portraits.
Some of those gorgeous, cinematic portraits don’t just happen on their own.
I’ll find the composition, work the light, give you direction, and create something that deserves a place on your wall. During the first look, ceremony, reception, and all the beautiful chaos in between, I lean more into photojournalism and capture the moments as they unfold. I think a great wedding gallery needs both.
And getting both means making room for both. Great portraits need more than a beautiful location and a camera. They need time. When we build your photography timeline, I’ll make sure we set aside enough of it to slow down, find the right light, and actually create something incredible together. We don’t need to turn your wedding into one long photoshoot, but if you hired me because you love those big cinematic portraits, we need to give ourselves the time to make them.
A FEW HUNDRED WEDDINGS WILL TEACH YOU A THING OR TWO.
I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings over the years, both through Lumos Eleven and alongside some incredibly talented photographers, including the team at Lin and Jirsa Photography for the last 10 years. That experience has taken me throughout Southern California, up and down the state, across the country, and even down to Mexico, and has put me in just about every kind of wedding you can imagine.
Intimate backyard weddings. 5-star Hotels. Huge destination weddings. Christian, Catholic, Greek Orthodox, and Coptic ceremonies. South Asian and Hindu celebrations. Persian and Islamic weddings. And plenty of traditions in between.
After a few hundred of them, you learn something else too: no matter how carefully you plan, weddings have a way of doing their own thing. Things will run late. Plans will change. Someone will disappear right before family photos.
It’s a wedding. I’ve got you.
Let’s make something you love.
Every wedding is different, and I want to photograph yours the way you envisioned it. I want to know what you love, what you’re excited about, and what you want these photographs to feel like when you look back at them years from now.
Send me the Pinterest board, screenshots, movie stills, or anything else you’re drawn to. I love seeing what inspires you and using it to help shape the creative direction. And if you have absolutely no idea what you want, that’s okay too. You don’t need to come to me with a vision. I’ve got plenty of ideas!
When the wedding day comes, you’re in great hands. I’ll handle the lighting, posing, and art direction, give you direction when you need it, and know when to get out of the way and let the moment happen.
However we get there, you’re going to walk away with beautiful photographs and a whole lot of memories worth holding onto forever. To get started fill out the Wedding Inquiry Form and we’ll get the conversation started for booking & next steps!
BEFORE THE WEDDING…
ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY!
Engagement sessions are a chance to make some great photographs without a wedding timeline breathing down our necks.
We can wander around somewhere you love, dress things up, keep it casual, try something creative, or make a night of it. It’s also a great chance for us to work together before the wedding, so when the big day comes, having me point a camera at you already feels a little more normal.
This is a great opportunity to get some professional portraits you can use for your Save the Dates & printed portraits for the wedding day!

Wedding and engagement pricing includes locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Headed somewhere farther? I’m in! Locations outside the included area may have an additional travel fee based on where we’re going and what it takes to get me there.
For destination weddings, I’ll keep things simple and put together a travel quote based on what it actually takes to make the trip, including things like airfare, hotel accommodations, baggage, and transportation.

Do you need a 2nd Photographer?
Some wedding days have important moments happening in two places at once. A second photographer can be a great addition for separate getting ready locations, overlapping events, larger celebrations, or timelines with simultaneous coverage needs.
I’ll help you figure out if your wedding actually needs one.
SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER | Starting at $750 | 6-hr minimum
Frequently Asked Questions

As soon as you know you want me there, reach out! Popular Saturdays can book well in advance, especially during busy wedding months like May and October. Your date is officially reserved once your contract is signed and your 50% booking deposit is paid.
Engagement sessions have a little more flexibility. Weekdays can actually be a great option, especially at popular locations where weekends tend to be much more crowded. If you’re not sure when to schedule yours, I’m happy to help figure out the best day and time for the location you have in mind.

Every wedding is different, so I don’t put an exact number on it. The length of your coverage, number of events, size of your wedding, and everything happening throughout the day can all affect the final count. My goal is to give you a complete gallery that tells the story of the day without filling it with hundreds of nearly identical photographs. I will typically shoot 3,000+ images on a wedding day and deliver 800-1,100.
-
Every photograph delivered in your final gallery is professionally edited by me, including color correction, exposure, cropping, and normal finishing work. More extensive retouching, such as body reshaping, significant skin retouching, object removal, or other detailed alterations, is not included but can usually be requested for an additional fee.
-
Your finished wedding gallery will typically be delivered within 4-6 weeks. Every photograph is personally selected and edited by me, so I want to give your gallery the time it deserves. If anything changes that timeline, I’ll keep you updated.
I will definitely send you some teasers the weekend right after your wedding so you can share online and have something to enjoy while you wait for the full gallery!
-
Not every wedding does and I am very good at capturing the wedding day on my own. A second photographer is most helpful when important things are happening at the same time, such as getting ready in separate locations or cocktail hour happening during family portraits.
Once I know more about your wedding and timeline, I’ll help you figure out if adding one actually makes sense. I have a lot of connections in the wedding photography industry and have several photographers I trust to bring on to capture your day. If we do add a 2nd shooter, they will primarily focus on the Groom and and I will stay with the Bride during the morning portraits and then I will have them help shoot ceremony and reception details depending on how many hours they are booked.

Welcome to weddings.
If things start running behind, I’ll help keep photography moving and work with you, your planner, and the rest of your vendor team to make the most of the time we have.
If we reach the end of your scheduled coverage and you want me to stay, additional coverage is available at $500 per hour. If you have a second photographer and want to keep both of us, their coverage can be extended for an additional $125 per hour. Second photographer coverage cannot be extended on its own.
Additional coverage can be added in 30 minute increments and is subject to availability. These rates account for both the additional time spent photographing your wedding and the editing of the additional images captured.
-
Absolutely! Photography is a big part of how a wedding timeline comes together, and my event planning background comes in pretty handy here.
I’ll work with you and your planner to make sure we have enough time for the photographs you want without turning your entire wedding into a photoshoot. Great portraits need a little room to happen, and I’ll help make sure we build that room into the day.
-
Absolutely. Welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, cultural celebrations including Mehndis / Sangeets / Garbas / etc, brunches, and other events surrounding the wedding can all be added depending on availability. Tell me what you have planned and I can build the additional coverage into your quote.
-
Absolutely! I photograph weddings throughout Southern California, but I’m always happy to pack my camera and go somewhere new. I’ve photographed weddings throughout California, including Lake Tahoe, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and Oakland, as well as Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Las Vegas, Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Mexico, including Cabo San Lucas and Zihuatanejo to name a few.
Whether you’re planning a weekend in the mountains, a wedding along the California coast, or taking everyone somewhere a little farther from home, tell me where we’re going and I’ll put together a travel quote based on what it takes to get me there.
